604 274 2692Your first visit
How should I prepare for my first visit?
Please complete the online intake forms emailed to you before you arrive. Bring any relevant test results or diagnostic imaging, either as a paper copy or emailed to us in advance so we can add them to your file.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. For therapies that involve hands on treatment you will be fully draped with sheets or offered a gown.
What should I expect during my visit?
Your practitioner will perform a thorough assessment and take a detailed history of your condition, then propose a custom treatment plan. Plans include in clinic sessions and practical lifestyle recommendations for long term results.
Is it normal to feel sore or tender after treatment?
Yes. Depending on your body and the techniques used you may feel more, less or no soreness. Every technique is performed with your informed consent and adjusted to your comfort.
Post treatment soreness should ease within a few days. Heat, hydration, gentle mobility and stretching all help.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly for every service, including ICBC and WorkSafeBC claims. Some extended health plans require a doctor’s note for reimbursement, so check your policy.
Billing and insurance
How does direct billing work?
We process your insurance at the time of your appointment. Your coverage amount is paid directly to the clinic and you are billed only for any remaining balance.
Add your policy and ID number under Insurance Details on your intake form. For MSP we need your full legal name, birthday, personal health number, legal gender and address. Occasionally direct billing is unavailable due to service interruptions or policy eligibility, so please be prepared to pay in full in those cases and claim back from your insurer. Vitality is independent from all insurers and cannot see the details of your policy.
We direct bill MSP, ICBC, WorkSafeBC and most extended health plans, including:
- Alberta Blue Cross
- Canada Life
- Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance
- Claim Secure
- Desjardins
- Empire Life
- Equitable Life
- Green Shield
- GroupHEALTH
- Group Source
- Industrial Alliance
- Johnson Inc.
- Johnston Group Inc.
- Manulife
- Medavie Blue Cross
- Pacific Blue Cross
- People Corporation
- RWAM Insurance
- SSQ Financial Group
- Sun Life Financial
- Union Benefits
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, debit, and credit (Visa, Mastercard and Amex).
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed, are charged the full treatment cost.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes. Gift card codes for any product or service can be created through our online booking site and sent to a friend or family member.
ICBC and WorkSafeBC
Do you direct bill ICBC?
Yes. To bill ICBC directly we need your claim number, the date of the accident, your claim specialist’s name and contact information, and a signed ICBC billing consent form with a credit card on file.
If it has been more than 12 weeks since your accident we can submit an assessment visit request to ICBC. Vitality is independent from ICBC and offers direct billing as a courtesy, so please stay in touch with your claims specialist about the details of your claim.
How do I continue treatment covered by ICBC?
If your injuries are not improving as expected, talk to your practitioner as you approach the end of your approval period. They will review your plan and request an extension. New patients needing an extension can contact us and we will submit the request.
Do you direct bill WorkSafeBC?
Yes. Bring your WorkSafeBC claim number and date of injury. We bill WCB directly for approved physiotherapy and active rehabilitation visits and send progress reports to WorkSafeBC and your employer.
Our clinics
Can I use the pool and gym as part of my session at Minoru?
Yes. Every kinesiology appointment at Minoru includes full access to the fitness centre and pool, and some physiotherapy appointments are eligible too. Ask your physiotherapist.

Both clinics have free parking. Seafair has ample parking in the plaza off No. 1 Road. Minoru is accessible from Granville Avenue or Minoru Gate, with free parking and nearby EV charging.
What are your hours?
Seafair is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and weekends 9am to 3pm. Minoru is open Monday to Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm and closed Sunday.
Do you treat children and seniors?
Yes. We care for patients from babies to seniors. Some practitioners have specific pediatric or prenatal focus, and our coordinators will match you with the right person when you book.
